This hunting zone holds exceptionally high numbers of ducks and Greater Canada geese, thanks to the perfect combination of winding river channels, wetlands, natural flyways, boreal forest edges, and vast surrounding farmland. The river corridor acts like a natural highway for migrating ducks and geese, offering ample loafing water, sheltered cover, and reliable feeding areas.
During peak migration, it’s common to see thousands of birds moving daily, with mallards, pintails, wigeon, teal, and geese pouring into the river bottoms and fields to rest and feed.
The result is fast-paced hunts with regular daily limits on ducks and geese. It’s a rewarding, action-filled waterfowl hunt where the birds are plentiful, the setting is wild, and every morning brings new flights and unforgettable memories.
We have been hunting this area for many years and we are excited to now have the new Pembina River Lodge to call home during our Waterfowl Hunts. 2025 was our first year hunting from our new Lodge and it has proven to be a perfect setup for successful hunts and a great time for all of our hunters.
